The Green and Gold Soccer Academy at Vimy Ridge Academy School The University of Alberta's Green & Gold Soccer Academy at Vimy Ridge Academy school is now accepting applications for the school year beginning September 2010 from enthusiastic and ambitious players in grades 7-12. The academy has been on the leading-edge of soccer developmental programs in Edmonton since its inception in 2000. Parents and Players are asked to apply early as space for the 2010-2011 school year will be limited. Deadline for applications is Friday, April 16, 2010. 2010-2011 APPLICATION PROCESS Step 1: Contact the Green & Gold Soccer Academy to setup a shadow day for your son or daughter and complete an application package complete with recent progress reports. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 (payable to the Green and Gold Soccer Academy) must accompany all applications. Payments are applied to next years program fees and are processed upon confirmation of acceptance into the program. Step 2: All completed application packages will be reviewed to confirm that the student has met all requirements for entrance. Step 3: Applicants will be notified confirming acceptance into the Green & Gold Soccer Academy and the school, assuming all entrance requirements have been met. Vimy Ridge Academy will not accept incomplete applications. ACCEPTANCE Acceptance into the Green & Gold Soccer Academy will be based on the following criteria: 1. Space availability 2. Applicant's behavioral history, ensuring a safe and comfortable learning environment for all students in the program 3. Matching of the applicant's level of ability with an age appropriate training group.
