The Green and Gold Soccer Training Academy – Winter Session 2010 and #1 Goalkeeper School will begin in early January and continues through to March.  Intended for the more serious soccer players, boys and girls aged 10-16, the academy program is structured to facilitate the development of players seeking to compete and develop their game to a higher level.

The academy aims to provide a soccer program whose coaching process is based on solid youth development coaching principles, delivered by professional and experienced coaches utilizing superior soccer facilities.

A recent development has seen club teams register for the academy. This is certainly encouraged, as it allows team development and the opportunity for coaching development - whereby the club coach is invited on the field for all practices with a view to observing our academy sessions, practice organization and coaching emphasis.

The academy provides age appropriate training for the U-10, U-12, U-14 and U-16 age levels that will feature 1- 2 practice sessions per week.

The program provides 10 practices of professional instruction from the academy’s principal coaches supported by a number of Golden Bears and Pandas soccer players. The academy’s principal coaches include Len Vickery, Kurt Bosch, Niki Vignjevic, Alex Dickson and are supported by Golden Bears and Pandas soccer players. Academy players will be assigned to a group based on age and/or ability.

As part of the #1 Goalkeeper School all goalkeepers will be provided with specialized instruction in all aspects of this demanding position. The Golden Bears and Pandas goalkeepers will assist the academy goalkeeper coaches in providing the very best instruction for youth goalkeepers.

Each practice will feature soccer specific fitness training in the development of agility, coordination, quick feet, core strength, endurance, speed and power.  The fitness or physical development is combined with technical and tactical training with a view to providing the youth player the optimum opportunity for soccer skill enhancement.

Please check the noted deadline for registrations and interested parents and/or players are advised to register early as space is limited.  Also, please note the Activity Registration Zone (ARZ) Sales Office Registrations and Withdrawal Policies that may be found at:
